How This Site Counts Visits
heartio.ai counts visits with its own small script, served from this domain. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, sends nothing to a third party and keeps no IP address.
What Is Sent
- For each page view: the page path, the address of the page that linked here (without its query string), campaign tags in the link if there are any, your screen width, your time zone and your browser's language.
- While the page is open: how long it was visible, how far down it was read and which sections came into view.
- When you click a link that leaves the site: the host it leads to.
What Is Not Kept
- No cookie and no local storage. A page view carries a random identifier that lives only in the page's memory, so a reload is a new view and nothing is left on your device.
- No IP address. The server turns the connection into a one-way hash under a secret it deletes every day, so a visitor can be counted once per day but never followed from one day to the next.
- Your country is estimated from the time zone your browser reports, not looked up from your address.
When Nothing Is Sent
- If your browser asks not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), the script sends nothing at all.
- Previews and copies of the site outside heartio.ai count nothing.
How Long It Is Kept
Visit records are kept for 400 days and then deleted. They are read only by the HEARTio team, to see which parts of the site people use.
Videos
The talks on this site are YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the video.
